
Takashi Sadakane has served as the Counselor of Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries at the Embassy of Japan since June of 2022. He previously worked in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan for more than 20 years, most recently responsible for Japan’s food export policies including establishing new export strategies, non-tariff measure negotiations and export production area development. Takashi earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, International Sustainable Agriculture Development at the University of Tokyo in 1999, followed by a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2004.
